One thing that always worries me is what to do with the scraps left over from crafts. I keep thinking and looking for things to take advantage of these fabrics. These chickens of today's tutorial are made using flaps. They are magnets for the fridge. I chose shapes (have you noticed how I love a geometric shape?) to observe how it is not difficult to make a simple little job and we get a nice effect. For friends who just love to see and do not have the courage to start a craft work ... I guarantee that this is a great tip to start in the craft ...
To make the square chicken start cutting 2 squares of 7 x 7 cm (can be larger or smaller), cut the detail that will be the head of the chicken in white felt and place it at one end of the square. |
Stitch around leaving an opening to put the filling. |
Take a black jewelry and sew the chicken's eye (about 2 cm below the tip of the square). You can sew by behind the chicken because this part will not appear when placing the ornament in the fridge. |
Make a loop (about 1 cm in height) in the division of the circles on white felt. |
Cut the chicken's crest in red felt and sew on the back. |
Cut the beak on yellow felt and sew on the back of the chicken. |
Like this. |
For the chicken's tail cut strips of fabric, sew in the middle and fix at the tip of the square next to the face of the chicken. |
The chicken ready ... put the magnet on the back of the chicken with hot glue ... |
To make the chicken in a triangular shape to do the same as the square one. |
Choose two white beads of jewelry for the eyes. If you want do a detail at the bottom of the chicken-shaped triangle. |
To make the chicken-shaped five-pointed star... finish the seam... stitch up the crest... make a triangle for the beak and sew ... |
For the chicken's eyes you can glue the readymade eyes (that's what gets better) ... you can make with felt... you can place white jewelry ... |
For details of the chicken's wings, make loops with white embroidery on one side and across the tip of the 5 pointed star. |
... Then just glue a magnet and decorate the fridge ... |
On the molds above are the models of the chickens made here. ... But you can make your way ... using other geometric shapes ... |
